How Does It Work?
The CR100 provides a small footprint passport scanner that directly integrates with Savance Visitor Management. Simply swipe the passport through the slot in any direction to quickly read all of the identification information from the document. Using OCR, the device automatically translates the sliding image into the identifiable information necessary to quickly register a visitor.
Note that the CR100 Passport Scanner device is meant to extract passport information only; it does not capture an image of the passport or do any sort of passport authenticity validation. It simply offers the ability to read code line data from passports, IDs, and other Machine Readable Travel Documents (MRTDs) with a simple hand-swipe operation and minimal training.
