EIOBoard has released 7.0 to EIOBoard-Hosted customers with many new features and benefits. We have created a Releases Page describing all the new changes and updates. We have upgraded and added several areas you might not be aware of.

Customer-Hosted clients will be notified via e-mail when version 7.0 is ready for their download.  Customer-Hosted always lags EIOBoard-Hosted due to the requirement to build and test an Intranet installer and to allow time for additional bug fixes that come out of our EIOBoard-Hosted users putting it to the test.  If you're a Customer-Hosted client, be on the lookout for an e-mail later this month or next!

Savance is announcing that this will be our biggest year in EIOBoard history with the release of Version 7. This release will include redesigned interfaces (Browser, Application, Outlook Add-in, and Mobile) that have the same look and feel and share a similar feature set.

 

EIOBoard has passed Veritest/Lionbridge's Client and Server platform tests.  These are two separate tests often done to support the Windows Certified Logo on a software box or website or to reach the Microsoft ISV certified level.

The upgrade to eioboard.com was completed on 8-17-08 for all our EIOBoard-Hosted Internet customers. This major EIOBoard release included the long-awaited second version of the EIOBoard Outlook Interface has added many new features that mimic our feature-filled EIOBoard Application.  The EIOBoard 6.0 Application interface added a new "Full Screen Mode" with a new Company Setting to have a scrolling or un-scrolling “Marquee" message for staff to view.  This release also had an update for our EIOBoard Kiosk software for both the "PC Only" and the CE versions to have a "Guest Sign-in" option.  And finally, we added a brand new add-on interface for EIOBoard called EIOBoard Punch. A new Windows service that automatically or manually synchronizes your Active Directory has been released.  This service allows you to interactively configure which OU's and even users you want to include or exclude in the sync.  It also allows you to configure which fields from AD you wish to sync.  This is a great way for any organization to maintain their EIOBoard users.  Coupled with Windows Authentication, this requires zero administrator support to keep users up to date.  Read more information about it here. 

The much anticipated new Outlook Interface has been released for download.  This interface will be included to all customers with their purchase of EIOBoard at no additional expense.  This initial release of the Outlook Interface included many of the core features of the Application interface, such as changing your status, finding others' contact info, checking others' status, and synchronizing contacts and your calendar.  Please click on this Outlook Interface link and pull down the webpage to try it out!  Savance is excited to offer this brand new EIOBoard Outlook interface to existing customers as well as potential buyers as yet another interface included for one low price.

Savance is planning for our next full release for EIOBoard and because we have always wanted to have tighter Active Directory integration, we decided that this would be the perfect fit to make EIOBoard better than ever!  This new enhancement will automatically update the existing EIOBoard users.  Additionally, when adding new users they will now use the username as the password.  And finally, deleting a user in Active Directory will delete the user in EIOBoard as well.

Today EIOBoard released version 5.0.5.  This new version includes features such as enhanced connection handling, support for synchronizing recurring Outlook events, tool tips for events in the Day View of the Calendar, and the ability to check for the latest version in the EIOBoard Application Interface.

Today EIOBoard released version 5.0.0.  This new version includes features such as a Resource Management feature added where you can schedule Events and Resources, a "More >>" button added which drops down a menu of all functions that are not already buttons, and the ability to customize the font size and color in the Standard and Mini Views in the EIOBoard Application Interface.

Savance teams up with Michigan State University and RetroDC to come up with a more functional, more appealing web site.  Savance now has the ability to change content on EIOBoard's site without opening any code.  This will give us the ability to keep our customers more up to date on the latest features and news about our product.
